To do what is best for each animal, they are adopted on a first come first served basis at the shelter to qualified recipients only.

Due to high demand, each dog/puppy is limited to 5 applications. Adoptions are restricted to within a 200-mile radius of zip code 18824. We do not ship dogs.

Adopting a life-long friend should be a careful decision to ensure a loving relationship. To prioritize the animals' safety, please complete our application form, allowing us to check your references and conduct a home visit.

Before applying, please note:

Do not apply if:

  • You have an unspayed/neutered dog/cat at home.
  • Current household pets are not vaccinated.
  • Any question remains unanswered.

Applications missing correct information or vet permission will be deleted.

Adoption Fees:

  • Puppies (altered): $400
  • Puppies (non-altered): $600 ($200 refunded after altering)
  • Dogs over 1 year: $300
  • Dogs over 5 years: Donation to cover fees and transport
  • Purebred commercial breeding dogs: 1/2 Fee - based on medical care costs

Fees cover spaying/neutering, first shots, microchipping, and transportation. Southern dogs are heartworm tested and treated. You will receive all medical records and a sample of the dog's food.

Our dogs are good with other dogs, school-aged kids, and can be crated for up to 5 hours daily. They walk well on leashes and know basic commands. Puppies are not crate, house, or leash trained. Descriptions are accurate. Exact breeds or sizes as adults are unknown.

Sponsored dogs may have a reduced fee depending on donations.

You must be 21 or older to adopt. Approved applications are valid for 6 months. For questions, email us; response times vary but we strive to reply promptly. Ensure all questions are answered for submission. Applications are processed on a computer. Be patient; we will contact you via email. Check your SPAM folder for replies.
