Thank you for taking the time to write a recommendation letter for the REU applicant. We value your input and appreciate hearing your thoughts on the student's abilities. Please keep in mind this is a research -intense program. In your recommendation letter, please address the following topics:
1. Please include the student's full name and email address.
2. Explain how you know this person and the duration of your relationship with them.
3. An evaluation of the person and their skills/accomplishments. If possible offer specific examples that illustrate the person’s strengths and qualifications. .
4. A summary that explains why you would recommend this person to our program and to what degree you would recommend them.
5. Document name should include the students name: (example: firstname-lastname.pdf)
