2024 Compost Giveaway Registration

Free compost is available for Thurston County residents in celebration of Earth Day 2024. This event is a collaboration with Brady Trucking's commercial composting facility and the Master Recycler Composter volunteer program of Thurston County. The compost is produced from material collected from residential food and yard waste carts as well as yard waste brought directly to the Waste and Recovery Center.

Compost will be in bulk, and residents are asked to bring their own sturdy containers and shovels. Be prepared with gloves, protective footwear, and helpers if needed.
