U.S. Company Registration Form

Houston, TX • Wednesday, November 20, 2019

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) is hosting the Haiti Natural Gas Opportunities Reverse Trade Mission from November 14-22, 2019 in Washington, DC, and Houston, Texas. This delegation is comprised of representatives from the National Authority for the Regulation of the Energy Sector (ANARSE); the Ministry of Public Works, Transportation, and Communication (MTPTC); Électricité d’Haïti (EDH); the National Palace; and the Ministry of the Economy and Finance. During their U.S. program in Washington, DC, and the Houston area, they will meet with counterparts in the public and private gas markets and tour key U.S. energy infrastructure sites in order to better understand the basis of the U.S. gas industry and its licensing and regulatory processes, with an intent to establish industry best practices and build lasting knowledge-sharing relationships.

As Haiti continues to invest in its energy infrastructure, the country is keen on exploring new natural gas and liquified natural gas (“LNG”) options to advance energy security and lower the country's electricity costs.

As part of the RTM’s itinerary to further these goals, USTDA will host an industry roundtable with U.S. companies in Houston on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, scheduled from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. This event will provide a forum for representatives from the Haiti energy sector to share information with U.S. companies on their needs, upcoming procurements, and plans for construction projects. U.S. companies will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with the delegates. There is no registration fee to attend the Industry Roundtable and lunch will be provided.

Meridian International Center is organizing this visit on behalf of USTDA.
