CVYS Chamber Music Program

We are pleased to offer interested CVYS students the opportunity to learn and perform chamber music in ensembles coached and supervised by UWEC music majors and faculty.

The Chamber Music Program will provide musicians with a small ensemble experience with individualized coaching and one-to-one peer interaction. As musicians, they will have greater responsibility for their parts, most often resulting in improved musicianship. As a group, chamber musicians take ownership of their performance which can drive excellence in their playing and be very rewarding for the student musicians.

Each group and their coach will settle on a day & time to meet for a weekly, one-hour rehearsal. Each group will perform at the final concert of the semester. To cover the cost of the ensemble coach, the fee for each musician is $55/semester.

Spring registration deadline: FEBRUARY 26, 2019.

Auditions will be held at the end of rehearsal on Feb. 26th. All interested students will audition to facilitate placement in logical chamber groups of similar playing ability.
