California Democratic Party 2021 Recall Election Voter Protection Team (VPT) Program Volunteer Sign-Up Form

Since 1992, the California Democratic Party, through our Voter Protection Team, has been protecting the rights of ALL voters and ensuring that EVERY VOTE COUNTS! If you are interested in volunteering and assisting in the CDP's voter protection activities, please sign up by completing this form.

The CDP is bringing back its Voter Protection Team in 2021 to ensure that all voters in California have equal and safe access to voting in the Anti - Republican Recall of Governor Gavin Newsom. There are 10 million Democrats in California and 5 million Republicans. For the Republicans to be successful, they will try to keep Democrats from Voting.

As a member of the Voter Protection Team, you will be the first line of defense in ensuring that anyone that wants to cast a vote will be able to. Members of the Voter Protection Team will assist voters in finding their polling place, answering questions, addressing concerns/complaints, and checking on polling locations to make sure they are operating correctly.

We will need volunteers for the CADEM Voter Hotline: (877) 321-VOTE (8683) will be between Monday, August 30, 2021, to Election Day, Tuesday, September 14, 2021, until the polls have closed! No prior experience is necessary. Training will be provided prior to your volunteer call center shift. All you need is a smartphone!

Volunteers interested in Poll Observing can start as early as Saturday, September 4th, 2021, with the majority of shifts starting on Saturday, September 11, 2021.

The main VPT Hotline will be set up from Monday, August 30, 2021, to September 14, 2021, which is Election Day until the polls close, however, we will be running a scaled-down version to cover any questions/issues relating to Vote-By-Mail ballots and VCA Vote Centers/Drop Boxes. Every little bit helps!
