Online Application for GTC Fellows 2007-2008

Deadline: Friday, April 20, 2007

WELCOME TO THE GRADUATE TEACHING CENTER

The Graduate Teaching Center (GTC) seeks talented graduate students with Yale teaching experience to serve as GTC Fellows for the 2007-2008 academic year. GTC Fellows lead programs on effective teaching, develop teaching resources, and provide individual consultation for Teaching Fellows at Yale. GTC fellows work across disciplines as well as within their own departments or discipline.

GTC Fellows devote between 5-7 hours per week in the preparation and delivery of teaching services, for which they recieve a stipend of $2400 per semester.

The position begins on August 1st. In mid-August, Fellows receive extensive training (required) to prepare them to serve as consultants and workshop leaders. In addition, they attend bi-weekly staff meetings during which they contribute to the direction and offerings of the Center.

This is an excellent opportunity for graduate students who would like to gain special expertise in college teaching, and who would like to experience mentoring and advising graduate students.
