Student Library Employment Application

About this position

A Sawyer Library Student Circulation Assistant contributes to the operation of the library by checking out materials to patrons, checking in returned items, shelving materials, maintaining the order of the stacks, enforcing library policy, and assisting patrons with general questions. Other duties such as inventory management or material processing may be assigned as needed.

This position is available only to Suffolk University students.

New student employees are usually assigned 8 hours per week broken down into two shifts of four hours each. Longer or shorter shifts may be assigned as needed.

Student pay is based on experience and perfromance for those students on the library's regular budget. The starting wage is 8 dollars per hour. Workstudy students' pay is determined by the Office of Student Employment.

SAWYER LIBRARY IS NOT CURRENTLY HIRING FOR SUMMER EMPLOYMENT. Applications for employment for Fall of 2013 will be reviewed in August.
