What is the Accuplacer?

The ACCUPLACER College Placement Test will evaluate your skills in reading, writing, and math.
This information will help your academic advisor make sure you have the skills you need
to be successful in the college classes you take at PCC.
 
The PCC Basic Skills Policy is based upon the following statewide policies:

Does everyone have to take the test?

No. Other test scores or grades may be used to determine your placement in PCC classes.
YOU WILL NEED TO UPLOAD A COPY OF YOUR SCORES IN THIS SURVEY.
 
If you have any of the items below, you may be exempt from taking the Accuplacer.
 
Previous college placement test scores (Accuplacer, CCPT)
Previous college coursework/transcripts
ACT/SAT Scores
GED test scores
Qualifying high school grades

or if your next step will be to meet with your academic advisor.
