Parachute Jumpers and Family Day participants do so at their own risk - The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia will not be held responsible for any loss, damage, injury howsoever caused. You are advised to take out your own insurance to cover any personal loss, damage or injury.
- The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia Charity Parachute Jump is open to anyone over the age of 18. Eligibility shall be decided by the event organisers, The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia, whose decisions shall be final.
- You agree to either set up an online fundraising page with details of the Parachute Jump confirming that all sponsorship monies will be received by the Charity or alternatively collect sponsorship through our official sponsorship forms.
- Set up of online fundraising details will be communicated via email.
- All Jumpers will cover the cost of the jump at 160.00. However if a jumper raises 500.00 or more, half the cost will be reimbursed. If a jumper raises 1,000 or more, the full cost will be reimbursed.
- All participants must complete the medical emergency information form.
- Due to the large number of entries to be processed and the limited number of places available, entry will be strictly on a first come first served basis. In the event that there are insufficient numbers of registrations, we reserve the right to amend terms and conditions and costs involved.
- The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia will confirm all entries by email and will also advise by email if there are insufficient numbers to complete the event.
- It's a Knockout team numbers and costs will be communicated shortly.
- The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia reserves the right to delay, postpone or cancel the event in the event of adverse weather conditions. The determination of what constitutes adverse weather conditions is reserved solely to The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia. Sponsorship monies are non-refundable and non-transferable, even in the case of event cancellation where the cancellation is out with our control.
- The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia reserves the right to make additions, changes, or clarifications to these rules without prior notice. The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia will endeavour to advise of any rule change prior to the event, but any such change shall be considered binding upon all entrants whether or not an entrant has received notice of the change prior to the event.
- All rules are subject to interpretation by The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia. All decisions of The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia are final.
- The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia reserves the right to reject or disqualify any entrant whose conduct is inappropriate to the spirit of the event. It is expected that entrants represent themselves in a sportsmanlike and professional manner.
- Violation of any of the rules indicated herein may result in disqualification from any future event. The decision of The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia is final.
To the extent permitted by the Unfair Contract Terms Act 1977, The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia will not be liable for any loss, damage, illness or injury whatsoever directly or indirectly occasioned by or resulting from the negligence, wrongful act or default of The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia or their respective servants or agents or from any other cause, including any act of God or the physical condition of the participant.
FACT SHEET HOW TO FIND THE VENUE :
Weston on the Green RAF Base, Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Approx 50 minutes from Birmingham
From the north
Head south on M40, exit at Junction 9 and bear right onto A34 heading south west. Turn left onto B430 and follow to the mini-roundabout. Turn right into Weston-on-the-Green village. Go through village (approx 1 mile) and turn right into RAF Weston-on-the-Green. From the east
Take the A40 heading west and onto M40. Exit at Junction 9 and bear right onto A34 heading south west. Turn left onto B430 and follow to the mini-roundabout. Turn right into Weston-on-the-Green village. Go through village (approx 1 mile) and turn right into RAF Weston-on-the-Green. From the west
Take the A40 heading east, at the Peartree roundabout bear left and take the A34 heading north east. Take the B430 exit into Weston-on-the-Green village. Go through village (approx 1 mile) and turn right into RAF Weston-on-the-Green. From the south
Go north on the A34. Take the B430 exit into Weston-on-the Green village. Go through village (approx 1 mile) and turn right into RAF Weston-on-the-Green. PARACHUTE JUMP
1. You will need to register on the morning with the Base. If you don’t intend staying for the day and want an early slot please let me know and I will arrange an early jump time for you.
2. Third Party Insurance has been arranged, however if you require personal injury cover, you will need to arrange this yourself either before the event or it can be arranged on the day at a cost of 20.00. The parachute centre recommends……….Please note that neither The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia nor its Trustees accepts no responsibility for loss or injury howsoever caused.
3. A Non-Refundable deposit of 50.00 secures your place now but final payments to be received no later than 14th April, 2008. This can either be made by cheque payable to The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia or through our online payments at www.justgiving.com/parachutejumppayment If you are using the online service please ensure you key in your details.
4. For safety reasons, please note that no alcohol will be allowed whilst the Parachute Jump is taking place. The bar at the Base will be open after all jumpers have completed. Anyone who has consumed alcohol before the jump will not be allowed to take part and no refund will be given.
KNOCKOUT SPORTS DAY TEAMS
1. All safety instructions must be adhered to. Third Party Insurance/Public Liability Insurance is in place, however if you require personal injury cover, you will need to arrange this yourself before the event. Please note that neither The Maria Watt Birmingham Foundation for Childhood & Teenage Leukaemia, its Trustees nor ACF Hospitality accepts any responsibility for loss or injury howsoever caused.
2. For safety reasons, please note that no alcohol will be allowed whilst the Knockout is taking place. Please remember that this is an RAF Base. The bar at the Base will be open after all jumpers have completed their jump.
3. Although we have arranged this team event – ACF Hospitality will be co-ordinating the Knockout Sports Day and all instructions must be followed to ensure safety at all times.
4. Teams should be no more than 20. It is likely that ACF will need to split the teams into 10. Where possible there should be no more than 4 children per 10 people. The cost to enter is 20.00 per person
5. Age limit for the Knockout is restricted to age 8 and above.
6. There will be other attractions on the day for younger children and anyone under the age of 8 is free. 7. Teams will need to register no later than 11.30am. The Knockout Sports Day will start at 12.30 pm.
